We should do this more often.

A few weekends ago, my sister and I took the kids to Arlington to have lunch with my Aunt Lupe and cousin Michelle. Now I can't tell you last time I saw my aunt and you can't imagine the shame that I feel that I don't see as often as I should. She lives literally 40 minutes down the road. I just love being around her. She just makes me smile. I remember as a kid that I loved to go and visit with her and my Uncle Henry. I have memories of waking up on a Sunday morning & listening to my uncle and my dad having a conversation in Spanish. I also remember they would talk to me in Spanish as well and all I could do was just sit and smile. So getting to have Ryan meet and spend time with her was special to me.

We meet at Red Robin and had lunch and talked and caught up on life. My aunt is super sweet. Ryan seemed to really enjoy meeting her. She commented on how he reminded her of "Jr." when he was young (Jr aka my dad). Now this made him smile, he loves hearing about his Grandpa Billy. She suggested that I bring Ryan around more so he could get to know his other cousins, especially Stephen. I think they are only 3 months apart in age and they both like to play football and play video games. Wanna know who else had a good time? Brady did. Of course they loved him, he's so dang cute. After making cutie eyes with Michelle all during lunch, he finally made his way over to their side of the table. He was just soaking up all the attention.

I can't wait until next month, Lupe said she would cook us lunch at her house, if she felt up to it. This way we could visit longer, plus I'm sure she would be more comfortable. Hopefully it won't be so cold.
