For the past few years we have done the Staycation thing. This year Jason and I decided that we were actually going to go on a vacation out of town. We decided that we would go to Sea World and the Riverwalk. The added bonus was that I got to finally meet my nephew Adrian...
So we loaded up the truck and headed south for a few day. The drive was good but long. We got to San Antonio around 2 pm checked into our hotel, got cleaned up and headed the the riverwalk. It was Ryan's first time at the Riverwalk. The last time we were there it rained every afternoon and I was paranoid that Ryan would trip and fall in. Crazy, I know.
Here we are at, what came to be our favorite place to people watch.
As we ate the we had a few uninvited guests
I couldn't seem to get them to go away. Until I looked up and saw Jason throwing chips on the ground. Thanks goodness there weren't very many people sitting out on the patio.
After lunch we walked along the riverwalk. We stopped at this one place called Crazy Sam's. I promise you our waitress looked and talked just like the Connie Britton, she is the coach's wife on Friday Night Lights. While we were there Ryan started to teach me how to place chess.
After a while it was time for us to go, I had a very important date with a blue eyed boy. We left Jason at the pool and headed up to meet the baby.
{I already did a post about our meeting}
After a nice visit, Ryan and I drove back to the hotel only to discover that I had driven back on an almost completely flat tire. No Bueno, Right? Not much we could do but air it up and hope it didn't leak too much air overnight. At that point we decided to call it a night. At least that's what we thought. Our room never seemed to cool off and I called the front desk to ask for a fan. They didn't have one but they agreed to move us to a lower floor. Thank goodness. After packing up and switching rooms we finally got to bed around 1:30 am. I had never been so tired.
The next day we got up bright and early and headed to Sea World. First stop was dolphin cove where we got to feed and pet the dolphins.
{How cute are they?}
Next the guys wanted to ride the Steel Eel.
This is the picture I got of them coming off the ride, they looked like it was not scary at all. Or was it.
Here is a picture, it was snapped as they came down the first drop. Ryan looks terrified.
Then they wanted to ride the Great White, I don't have any pics of that ride but Ryan said he loved that one the best.
Next it was off to the Sea Lion show .
{this baby sea lion was only 2 weeks old}
Then it was time for the water park, our time there didn't last too long. I was pooped and ready to go. So back to the hotel we went for a long nap. Later that evening we went to dinner at Rita's again.
{Watching the baseball game at Crazy Sam's}
Then we called it a night after the game. I had to prepare for my last day of vacation had in store for me...
