The last few weeks have gone by so fast, we have been busy. The month started off with Ryan's Spring Choir Concert. I've enjoyed all of Ryan's concerts this year, but this last one to me was so relaxed and enjoyable. They sang more current songs and the kids even got to do individual songs. It was like Webb's version of Glee. I really like hearing all the talented young people. Ryan told me later that he was going to try out with his friend but when his friend backed out he got "a little" stage freight and decided against going by himself.
Then on May 13th, the 6th grade choirs from all the Garland schools competed, they tied with another school for 1st. To celebrate all the hard word they have done over the school year, the 6th grade choir got to spend the day at Hawaiian Falls Water park the following Saturday.
Ryan couldn't wait for the this past weekend. Saturday the entire school choir went to Six Flags. He was so very excited and ready to ride all the rides. By the time he got home on Saturday, he was ready to pass out.
Hopefully this last week of May goes by fast. On Friday, it's Hawaiian Falls Day. The kids get to spend the day at the water park. It's like a end of year reward for working hard and taking the TAKS test. Plus it's a great start to the 3 day weekend.
I can't believe how fast this school year has gone by, Ryan only has 7 more says left of 6th grade.
