Mr. GQ!

If this is what the sneak peek looks like, then I can't wait to see how the rest of the pictures turned out.

Thanks Melissa, you really out did yourself.

Snow Day 2011

(1/9/2011)
We finally got our first snow of the new year. It started as sleet and by mid-morning it had turned to snow . It was very pretty to watch from inside my cozy warm house. For some reason I just was not excited about it snowing, but Ryan was. He kept asking me when we were going to go out and play in it. Ryan being the sweetheart he is went out and made a bucket of snowballs, then came and got me. How could I say no to that? We had our snowball fight...

Maverick is not a fan of the snow

Only Ryan would be outside playing in the snow in shorts

Our new puppy Kinsler loved the snow.

She couldn't get enough, but after about 20 minutes I was frozen and called it quits. Ryan and Kinsler stayed outside a little longer. I had to drag him in about 15 minutes later, before he turned into a icicle.

Cheese Please

(1/8/11)
Since I'm no longer working the seasonal shift at Macy's I get to spend more time with the family. A few Saturdays ago I was able to spend time with Brady, so that his momma could have a little break. Brady wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese and since I'm the worlds biggest sucker for my nephews that's where we went. We asked Ryan if he wanted to go but he told me " Ugh, NO!" I knew he wouldn't want to go but I still wanted to ask.

When I went to pick Brady up he was ready to go...We had so much fun on our date. We ate lunch, then tried to teach him how to play skee ball. He just couldn't get the hang of rolling the ball, he just wanted to throw it. Brady rode some rides and won some tickets.

After we finished there, we met his momma at Sports Clips so he could get a much needed haircut.

Man I love that kid!
Then it was time for him to his Ma's birthday party and Aunt Lala to take a nap. My goodness, that Brady makes tired. lol. But I definitely had fun!

Busy Weekend ahead

This weekend is going to be busy. Tish and I are going to take Brady to get his pictures made in Bremond by Melissa Pickens-Timeless Photography.  Then we're are going to visit my very best friend in the world Bonita aka Bubbles. I can't wait to see her...Ryan is going to get to hang out with Jason, doing guy things, of course. I think they are going to go see
"The Green Hornet."

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Sad

I got a call from my little sister this morning tell me that my Jaja (step grandpa) passed away. It broke my heart to hear her crying on the other end of the phone. They had become so close these past few years. It's funny, I had just talked to my step mom last week and she said that he was having some problems, but never made it sound SERIOUS.

He was good man, a jack-of-all-trades. I mean this man could fix anything. He was like a school icon. He had been the custodian at the Bremond Schools since the 60's. Everyone knew him. He was well liked. Ryan really liked him too. When Ryan was a lot younger we would go visit my step mom and of course we would go see Jaja. We could always find him sitting on the porch either shelling pecans and drinking a beer or just drinking his beer...

Yes, I'm still here

We had a great Christmas. Enjoyed being getting to visit with the family. Ryan, especially had a great holiday. His winter break started early due to the school catching fire in early December. Lucky kid, not because he had a 4 week winter break but because he doesn't have to make up the time lost.
Anyway, things have been crazy around here lately. There have been some endings and some new beginnings. I'll have to update everyone when I have time.
