Pink or Blue???

Blue, definitely BLUE! My sister Christina found out yesterday morning that they are having a little boy. Woo-hoo! I'm so so happy for them, especially Seth. He really really wanted a little boy, but what man doesn't want to have a son. lol...I'm so happy for them. I can hardly wait for November. Aunt Lala is ready to spoil my new little man.

It's getting closer...

I know this sound so silly but I'm super excited for June 10th. Why? I'm glad you asked. I'm super excited because this is the day that my sister Tina and Seth find out if they are having a boy or a girl. My bet is she's having a boy. Or should I say that's what I hopes she's having. Little boys are so much fun. They love to play outside, getting dirty and they play football & baseball. But whatever she's having I'll love'em like there's no tomorrow.

5th grade graduation

Well it's official...Ryan is now a 6th grader. Where has the time gone? I remember his first day of kindergarten. I cried. Now 6 years later I cried again at his 5th grade graduation. I just sat there in awe of how big he has grown, how handsome he looked and how I wished I could freeze time. It's funny how when he was a baby, I couldn't wait for the next stage - first tooth, first steps, first words. But now I dread the firsts - first girlfriend (which he already has), his first broken heart, first car, etc... Maybe I'm more emotional because he is my first and only child...

Enough of that, let me tell you about graduation. Ryan was recognized for 'A' Honor Roll and he received the Presidential Award. What is the Presidential Award, you ask? Is an award honoring student achievement and hard work. The program has provided individual recognition from the President and the U.S. Secretary of Education to those students whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence. The criteria for the award was simply, 1. The student must have a GPA of 90 or above in spring of their 4th grade year and fall of their 5th grade year. 2. The student must receive commended performance on the ISBT (benchmark test.) I'm so proud of him, not because of his achievements, but because of who he is as a person. All the other stuff is just icing on the cake.

Hopefully Ryan had a good day. And as predicted Brady saw his bubba and kept calling out to him. At one point he got very frustrated that he couldn't go sit with him...I still can't believe he'll be in middle school this fall. It's going by to fast.
